Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s growing rift: Why the Duke is “petrified” of losing his wife, according to royal expert

With the arrival of their children, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are entering a very joyful period in their lives. There has been a lot of criticism of the Sussexes because of the schools they are considering, but they will soon start a new chapter at a different school.

Unfortunately, that’s not all the criticism they’ve taken; Harry is now under fire for accepting an award that many people don’t think he deserves.

Some things just don’t add up, even though the couple raises their two kids in a town free of paparazzi photographers in a stunning estate in Montecito, California. Speculation has circulated that Harry and Meghan are having marital problems, and the Duke has gone so far as to say that he misses the UK.

One insider in the royal family has stated that Harry is “petrified” of the prospect of divorce, and that the Duke may return to the UK without his wife.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royal family, they became embroiled in numerous scandals. Just recently, the Duke was involved in another one that has since gone viral in the United States, thanks to Harry’s acceptance of the Pat Tillman Award.

The Prince’s acceptance of the renowned Pat Tillman Award has drawn criticism.

Harry was recognized by ESPY for his “tireless work in making a positive impact for the veteran community through the power of sport”—specifically, the Invictus Games that he founded many years ago. Prince Harry’s acceptance of the award this year has sparked controversy, despite the fact that it has historically gone to underappreciated heroes.

The award is named after US soldier Pat Tillman, who was murdered in Afghanistan. Soon after the Duke received the distinction, Tillman’s mom Mary scolded Harry for receiving it.

I don’t understand why they would honor such a contentious and polarizing figure. There are recipients who are far better suitable. She told the Daily Mail that there are people working in the veteran community who are helping veterans a great deal.

Over seventy thousand people have signed a Change.org petition asking ESPN to rethink their decision to reward Harry, demonstrating the public’s outrage over the decision.

None of these people can compare to Prince Harry in terms of privilege, wealth, connections, or access to resources. I think it’s important to acknowledge such kinds of people.

A representative from the ESPYs stated, “Whilst we understand not everyone will agree with all honourees selected for any award, The Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work, and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating.”

“The acknowledgement was definitely diminished by the response.”

According to the Telegraph, Harry is taken aback by the negative reaction. The criticism of Harry’s work with veterans has been a “particularly bitter pill to swallow,” according to the newspaper’s source. Because of this, he may have difficulties down the road when he “seeks to build a career upon the foundations of his past military endeavours.”

What truly matters to Harry is the impact he has had on Invictus and everything that he has accomplished. To him, this is like a second home; he cares a great deal about it. According to the source, the reaction detracted from the honor.

On Thursday, Harry will get his prize. American critic Lee Cohen shares the view that Harry should not have received the Pat Tillman Award, joining the hundreds of others who have signed a petition against the decision. According to Cohen’s opinion piece in The Sun, Harry is disrespecting veterans because he has left his nation.

Cohen criticized the notion of honoring Harry as a “Legend of Aviation” and claimed it was even more inappropriate than awarding a royal prince who had reneged on his duty and used his position for personal benefit. He compared it to an insult to Pat Tillman’s legacy.

Award recipients should be chosen with greater care to ensure they embody the traits and values of the award. Doing differently is, to put it mildly, insulting and absurd.

According to royal expert Grant Harrold, who was King Charles’s butler, Harry is saddened by the criticism and is thinking about his options, but one source claims that Harry is shocked by it.

Harry’s nod has ruffled feathers, which is fascinating. A bit perplexing, in my opinion,” Harrold remarked, adding that Harry may think twice about accepting the accolade.

He came to the conclusion that Harry is “completely selfless, generous, and mild-mannered,” and as a result, he is “very upset about it.”

“He would always strive to avoid causing any distress,” Harrold said. “He may choose not to accept the award if he believes it will cause controversy. He would never intentionally upset anyone, and the thought of facing criticism would likely make him feel bad.”

Things at home are not going according to plan, even though Harry has gotten himself into a lot of trouble due to the prize. Several sources in the media and the realm of royal expertise have asserted as much.

The United States is home to many of Harry’s friends, although he may have reconsidered his decision to stay after some time has passed.

Tom Quinn claims that Harry longs for the days of his army and college pals. Unfortunately, “they don’t get on with Meghan” and hence they have avoided visiting him in California. A “permanent” residence in the United Kingdom is reportedly what the Duke is seeking presently.

Harry is starting to long for parts of his life back in the UK as the years pass. Eventually, the moment of excitement and novelty in the United States will come to a close, and Harry will view his history with rose-colored glasses, Quinn asserted.

Several of his Old Etonian and army buddies have avoided visiting because they aren’t friendly with Meghan, he continued. Harry is hell-bent on settling down in the UK, which is why he’s keeping up his court fight to have the British government foot the bill for his protection.

Harry is “petrified” that he might lose Meghan Markle

Discord between the royal family and the Sussexes has left scars that may never fully heal. Rumor has it that Princess Eugenie was the only royal to pay a visit to Harry and Meghan in the United States. Even though King Charles is supposedly thinking about going, Prince William and Kate Middleton probably won’t be visiting Montecito.

Rumor has it that the Duke is reportedly trying to find a permanent residence in the United Kingdom. According to royal scholar Hugo Vickers, who wrote A Royal Life, Prince Edward’s memoir, in 2022, Harry will return to live in the UK permanently—but he won’t bring his bride with him. According to Harry’s 2022 autobiography, A Royal Life, he will settle back down in the UK, albeit he won’t be joining his wife there.

While speaking to The Sun, Vickers painted a picture of Harry as someone who is “petrified” of losing Meghan and is “angry” about it. But the royal expert insisted that Harry will go back to the UK none the less.

After consulting with The Sun, he came to the conclusion that he would return home. He probably won’t want to come home, but if he does, we’ll need to treat him gently. It seems like he’s really irate.

Vickers went on to say that King Charles would gladly accept Harry’s return and reintegrate him into the royal family as an employee if he did so.

“The king has given him extensive permission to do that, and he was performing admirably previously, and… he appeared incredibly joyful,” the specialist on royal matters went on to say. “Most of the time, you’re happy when you’re fulfilling your responsibilities, helping other people, and making things happen.”

“Harry and Meghan are becoming increasingly estranged”

“In my opinion, he appears to be terrified of losing her [Meghan] and even slightly terrified of her,” he said, “if you’re taking things out of life, at the risk of receiving a lot of hate mail.”

As expected, Harry and Meghan have relished the limelight. Despite rumors that the Duchess longs to join the ranks of Hollywood’s elite, numerous famous people and acquaintances of the pair have cut connections with them. Royal specialist Tom Quinn told the Mirror that the Sussexes are experiencing a rude awakening, which is straining their relationship, due to the significant cultural differences between Harry and Meghan’s upbringing in the United Kingdom and Hollywood.

According to Quinn, “Meghan’s increasing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned” is the main reason for the escalating disagreement between Harry and Meghan. Surveys show that the American public isn’t as interested in her and Harry as it once was, but she likes the attention from the media and hates that.

According to him, Meghan is feeling “very much under siege” due to the recent reports that her online brand launch was met with mockery and the possibility that the couple’s Netflix contract is now in jeopardy.
