“Holy moly, she’s (unfortunately) had a lot of work done. Makes celebrities look older than they actually are,” reacted a critic, while an Instagrammer stated, “That does not look like Carrie Underwood. 😮.” A disappointed viewer also opined, “One more beautiful girl ruining their looks with fillers and Botox. Seacrest recalled meeting Underwood when she was a contestant and the winner of the 2005 season of “American Idol.” The show’s host said he knew back then that the singer would become a big success.

Richie appreciated having Underwood back because they didn’t have to coach her on anything since she knew her way around. He felt she understood and related to the contestants better than they did because she’d been in their shoes before.
