Outside of giving fans a rare glimpse at the beloved industry heavy hitter, theĀ actress and directorĀ has also shared reflections on her childhood with Jack as her father and famous actress Rebecca Broussard as her mother.

In an article that Lorraine wrote for Vanity Fair in February 2024, the “World’s Greatest Dad” talent divulged how she would frequent the Playboy Mansion from a very young age up until she was 11.

Interestingly, LorraineĀ revealed, “People assume that my father took me to the Mansion, but they assume wrong. In fact, I can venture with confidence that I spent more time there than my father ever did. It was actually my nanny, Cis, who brought me.”

The star, who said she would go to the Playboy Mansion because that’s where all her friends (peers and an older crowd) were, shared that although her father would never accompany her, she and her friends would sometimes get dropped off at the Playboy Mansion by her mom.

“During that period, the boys and I entertained ourselves by driving child-size cars, endlessly and in circles, on the tennis court,”Ā disclosedĀ Lorraine, who also revealed that she never participated in after-school activities or went to summer camp.

Lorraine, who would also hang out with late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s sons Marston and Cooper Hefner, even celebrated her birthdays at the mansion. “Marston and I were born a week apart. When I’d celebrate my birthday at the Mansion, Marston would cry if he didn’t receive presents too,”Ā notedĀ the “Click” actress.

Aside from divulging childhood anecdotes, like the moment she had a negative animal experience with a peacock that bit her, LorraineĀ unveiled, “My mom and dad never really made friends with the other parents at my school. In their defense, the other parents eyed them like they would a stumbling toddler, never knowing, precisely, what they would do next.”

While the other parents would find themselvesĀ enthralled withĀ Lorraine’s parents’ “eccentric antics,” they were not too keen on allowing their kids to have playdates at Jack’s house, which Lorraine said she understood.

Unlike typical fathers, LorraineĀ saysĀ that Jack “could show up at the Mansion, without an invitation, at any time,” because he was on the list.

Other details LorraineĀ sharedĀ in her essay include how her mom would bond with Hugh’s ex-wife and mother of his children Kimberly Conrad over “their shared experience of loving a playboy.”

The women would also find solace in each other whenĀ dealing withĀ “malicious gossip” and scandal concerning their husbands’ alleged affairs with other women.

Years before Lorraine’s revelations about her childhood and parents, Jack sat down for an interview with AARP in 2008, where he discussed fatherhood from his perspective.

When asked what type of father he thinks he is, the “Batman” actor initially gave praise to Rebecca for being a fantastic mother, andĀ saidĀ the two of them share a “divided parenthood.”

He thenĀ answered, “I want to be inspirational, or some kind of good influence on them without overburdening them. It’s their time of life to find out who they are. I always read to them, from childhood on; I think that’s a father’s responsibility. I took them to things I knew they might not love ā€” opera, ballet.”

“They like going to the ball games with me. And they are very comfortable around show business; they are good set rats. They walked in on my death scene in ‘The Departed.’ I said, ‘If I can get these two kids really worried, I’m doin’ my job!'”Ā concludedĀ Jack at the time.

Although he is well-known for hisĀ illustrious careerĀ as an actor, producer, director, and screenwriter, who has starred in countless box office hits and won prestigious awards, Jack has been out of the limelight for some time now. In fact, the last movie he appeared in was the rom-com “How Do You Know,” which came out in 2010.

The filmĀ follows the story of a woman named Lisa (played by A-lister Reese Witherspoon) who has been cut from the U.S.A. softball team and is navigating her life while being caught up in a love triangle. Jack plays a character named Charles in the movie that also co-stars Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson.

Not only has Jack appeared to take a break from the big screen, but the beloved icon has also veered away from the public eye. HisĀ last public sightingĀ was at a Los Angeles Lakers versus the Memphis Grizzlies game in April 2023.

While there, Jack, who,Ā according toĀ ESPN, has been “a longtime fixture at the Lakers’ downtown arena since becoming a season ticket holder in 1970,” shared a moment with NBA superstar LeBron James and posed for a picture with Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant’s dad, Tee Morant.

ESPN also reported that, prior to his 2023 appearance,Ā Jack NicholsonĀ had last been seen at the Lakers downtown arena in October 2021.
